Reviews frequently highlight the consistency of these offerings, though some note the limited variety might leave those seeking a more expansive selection wanting. The café balances its focus on core items with efficiency, maintaining quick service despite busy hours, although the seating arrangement occasionally feels a bit cramped during peak times.

Yakun never disappoints. Easily the most consistent and legit place to experience true local fares like nanyang coffee and half boiled eggs.

Very fast service, went there around 10am-ish. Not usually busy at that time but there’s a short line. Quieter area. We got seats immediately. Kind of panicking cos of their fast service, so they dont converse long when giving instructions. Overall, food’s great! I’ll definitely recommend and will come back

The kaya toast tasted mid with a mild spread of kaya and butter. The bread is not crispy as it looks although it is thin, perhaps it is not toasted enough. The less sweet drink is really less sweet. There is only a few seats inside and more seats outside which can be warm in the afternoon.

Satisfied with my first Kaya Toast experience! I’ve read good reviews about this place and how consistently good it is particularly with the crunchiness of the toast. It definitely did not disappoint. There’s something about the combination of the crunchy toast, thick butter, and sweet kaya filling that makes it comforting and easy to eat. Adding soft boiled eggs with soy sauce on top of the toast was a good variation too. I ordered the steamed bread just to try it and I don’t think it’s for me. The soft bread quickly became soggy because of the butter which I did not like.

This was my first morning in Singapore after traveling for 25 hours straight. So of course I was jet lagged and quite hungry. I asked the staff in the front reception of my hostel what was nearby that was a yummy Singaporean breakfast. This was the place he recommended. Surrounded by outdoor seating and seats inside. You go to the counter and you must order quick then they give you the buzzing thing for your food when its ready. I sat outside enjoying my toast with some very strong coffee and poached egg. How wonderful.

Local coffee at its best. My preferred choice wherever I am. I would like to commend the cashier who answered questions regardless whether they were locals or tourist. Really impressive!

Service was a little confusing and wasn't explain to me properly. First time having kaya toast so I can't way much but I enjoyed thoroughly. The servicing process was to wait without a buzzer to collect eggs and drink first, before they give u the tray with you buzzer to collect the toast afterwards. Tea and food was great.
